This site collects as little as it can get away with. Here is the whole picture.
What I collect
If you give me your email address, I keep your email address. That's it. There is no account to create, no profile being assembled, and no form on this site that asks for anything else.
The email list
The list runs on MailerLite, which stores your address and records whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it. I use that only to tell whether an article was worth sending. Every email has an unsubscribe link, it works immediately, and unsubscribing removes your address rather than hiding it.
I don't sell, rent, or share the list. Not with anyone, for any amount.
Advertising
I advertise this site on Facebook and Instagram. To do that I use Meta's tracking pixel, which sets a cookie, records which pages you opened here, and tells Meta whether you joined the email list. Meta uses that to work out who else to show my ads to, and it lets me show ads again to people who visited and did not sign up. That is ordinary advertising tracking and I am not going to describe it as anything gentler.
Two things it never receives. It never receives your email address. And it never receives anything from the readiness check: not an answer, not a score, not which area came out lowest. What your kid can and cannot do yet stays between you and that page.
You can block it. Firefox, Safari and Brave block it by default, and any ad blocker will too. Nothing here breaks if you do, including the readiness check and the signup form.

The books are sold on Amazon, and the buy links on this site point there. Amazon sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy once you land on their site. See theaffiliate disclosure for the money side of that.
Children
The workbooks are written for kids. This website is written for their parents, and it isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If you think your child signed up for the email list, email me and I'll delete the address.

Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I'll say so in the newsletter rather than quietly editing the page.
